18th Birthday Celebrations

 Evelyn had a couple of fun celebrations to ring in adulthood... here's a recap:

Opening gifts after school...

Maddox told her he was working after school and for the evening. That was totally a lie and he came and surprised her with flowers and new AirPods. He's pretty great....

The "Wedding"

So... for a few years Evelyn and some youth group friends have been talking about having a wedding... where Evelyn was the bride but NO groom. She explains the concept better, but you get the idea. 

So.. this was the year of the "Wedding" themed birthday party!

My friend let Evelyn borrow her wedding dress and it fit almost perfectly... 

The "bridesmaids" Heidi, Caroline and Maddie.. beautiful girls!

Levi and Zephyr were the groomsman and got all dressed up.. it was pretty cute!

She had a huge fake diamond ring to boot...haha! They went to Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner and got lots of attention...haha! It was a super fun night!

The following weekend she had her friends from school (+Juliet) over to celebrate...

Goodness I love these faces and so grateful for the friends Evelyn has...

Evelyn was well celebrated this year for sure!

TAYLOR SWIFT!!!

 

I am honestly at a loss for words to describe seeing Taylor Swift in her final Era's Tour concert in Vancouver, Canada. She was absolute perfection, but to be able to be there with Evelyn, my sister and my niece, make silly tik toks, squeal, cry, sing and dance will forever be some of the best moments of my life. We seriously had the BEST time. So grateful..... this trip will be a core memory for all of us for sure!

She was PERFECTION... but listening to Evelyn and Abby belt out all of the songs was even better!

We got very little sleep after the concert then had to get up early the next morning to head home. Evelyn got a nap in for sure!

This trip was amazing for so many reasons and I am so grateful for the special time with my girl!!

Matthew Turns 15!

 

Our Matthew turned FIFTEEN today! FIFTEEN?!?!

He has grown and changed SO much this year. He still has the biggest, most humble, most thoughful heart, still cares deeply for his faith, for his people, and football. He is now 6'2 and still growing, his voice is lower, and he is maturing daily. He is the best little brother and friend, and we love him more than words can say...even if his room is usually a disaster...HA!

Christmas Tree Hunt 2024

 

We headed out this morning to find a Christmas tree, driving out towards Canby thinking there were lots of tree farms out there. Needless to say, we were mistaken, BUT we did find the best tree at a small family farm. AND, as usual, it was a great family outing with my crew!

The "back of the truck in boots" shot wil continue as long as they allow! HA!

Ended the day with Maddox coming over and watching our first Christmas movie of the season.
