Tree Hunt 2016

As usual, we had a fun adventure getting our Christmas Tree. This is Baggenstoes last year growing and selling trees (sad!) so the trees weren't as nice as they usually are, but we took our time and eventually found "the one"! :)

Our tree marker.. daddy's glove!

We will miss the wonderful people who work here. Thankfully the same bunch of guys and gals works the pumpkin patch and berry fields, so we will see them again! We love Baggenstoes!

Free cocoa!! Score!

Our annual "Five Guys after getting our tree" lunch stop!
Christmas PJ's and Christmas movie time... YAY for the start of Christmas!!

Thanksgiving 2016

We had a lovely Thanksgiving at Doug's Aunt Mary's place. Lots of good people, lots of good food, lots of good converstaion... you can't get much better than that!!

Here's a photo snapshot of our day....

Younger cousins played Hot Wheels for hours....

Doug's Uncle Ron and Aunt Pam from Arizona joined us for Thanksgiving this year. It was so great to spend time with then while they were visiting!!

The Friesen siblings... in age order. Alice, Ron, and Mary

I love being this one's aunt!!

Helping get the dinner ready..

Pretty table....

Grandma Morris always make the birthday kids (Evelyn, Matthew, and Lillian, who all all December birthdays) individual pumpkins pies that get candles in them. After we all sing, they get TONS of whipped cream on their pie and dig in. It's a fun tradition!! Biggest cousin Ben make sure they got plenty of whipped cream this year!

Here' the annual Morris family "Happy Birthday" song. There's something magical about having the family sing to you. The harmonies alone give me goosebumps!!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!!

Happy Halloween 2016

Our halloween was a fun day... sadly I didn't get a whole lot of photos. It's not my favorite day of the year but the kids get SO excited about it so I try to go along (if you go back and read every one of my halloween posts, I say the exact same thing.. ha!).  Needless to say I am bummed I didn't get more photos!

The kids were super excited about their costumes. Matthew was Bumblebee the Transformer and Evelyn was Princess Leia (which, by the way, she pulled off beautifully!).

We had fun stopping by Grandma and Grandpa's after school... a halloween tradition. :)

Ready to get candy!
Her hair turned out SO good..and she did it mostly all by herself. So proud of her!
My three favs.

They all had a fun night trick-or-treating and I was thankful for a non-rainy evening. It was a school night, so we didn't have the kids out too late, much to their dismay! :) They still managed to get plenty of treats that will last for quite a while.

Another halloween in the books!
