Cresent Lake

We just returned from a getaway to Cresent Lake. We had the BEST time on the water and being together away from cell service and the noise of the world.

Yes.. the water was THAT blue!!

Sometimes this is the best I can get when wanting a photo...haha!

Matthew and I went on a walk every morning before Doug and Evelyn woke up.

Matthew tried so hard to get up on waterskiis, but it just didn't happen. The skis that came with our boat are old and big and weren't the best. But we were so proud of him for trying!

Why yes, that IS me driving the boat while the rest of the fam tubes!! I got more comfortable with the boat this time around.

Evelyn was in charge of holding onto the tube at one point and lost the line. She had to go chase it down....haha!

BOTH kids got to drive the boat a bit which was a good experience for them. Doug is a great teacher.

Until next time Cresent Lake... thanks for the memories!

Fourth of July 2022

We had a relatively quiet but fun 4th of July this year.

Cannon was able to come spend the third and part of the fourth with us which was super fun for Matthew.

We went to mom and Doug's for dinner on Sunday and grabbed Ellie to come along with Evelyn. We enjoyed a yummy meal and a lovely evening with them.

The kids played corn hole most of the evening!

We came home and since Cannon and we did fireworks... a day early so Cannon could be with us. The kids were super silly and we had a fun time.

The kids were up in the tree house until dark.. it was so nice outside!

The morning of the Fourth I took the kids to Jamba then we went and walked around Commonwealth Park.

Last year we went to In and Out on the Fourth and decided it needed to be a new tradition. So we drove down and grabbed dinner there. And, similar to last year, there was a very short wait.

Evelyn drove on the way home and to drop Cannon off.

We came home and watched Top Gun.. the kids had not seen it yet. LOVE that movie!

Poor Bodie. He was pretty spooked by the fireworks.

He ended up sleeping in the laundry room on the floor. It was so sad to see him so scared... but he made it thru the night just fine..haha!

Happy Birthday America!
