Back to the Beach!

 

We went to the beach for President's Day weekend. The weather wasn't as great as we had hoped but we still had a great time being together away from the hubbub of life.

We went into Depoe Bay and decided to have lunch at the Sea Hag, a famour restaurant. It took FOREVER to get our food, and it wasn't all the great. We chose to just laugh at the experience and probably will never go back...haha!

We love long walks on the beach and going to expore the tide pools

...even if it's a wee bit windy!

We woke up to sun one morning and took advantage of it!

Movien night in the kids' room on our last night. 

Grateful for time away with my sweet family!

Matthew's First 5K

 

When football season was over, Matthew joined his school's running club. He really enjoys running and he was excited to be able to train for his first 5K. He was super excited for this morning as we met his other classmates/running mates for this event. 

Matthew and Hugh CRUSHED it! Hugh finished 2nd, and Matthew finished 4th in their age group. 

SO proud of Matthew and love that he loves to be active and push himself! He is excited to do more 5K's in the future.

Licenced!!

 

Evelyn took her driver's licence test this morning and passed with flying colors! She was a little nervouse, but confident she could do it, and she did!! 

This definitely was a red place celebration!!

 We have another driver in the house...yay!!

Matthew ordered Evelyn Taylor Swift coasters. They didn't arrive in time so he made her some for until the real ones arrived. 

I was spoiled this year for sure!! 

We had our traditional "The Gresham Morris fam and Mary come over for the afternoon and we have so much fun we never take pictures" and enjoyed every minute, as usual! I did mangage two pics this year tho..haha!

On New Years Eve we drove to Dallas to enjoy Christmas with the rest of Doug's family. I managed a few more pics there. Lots of fun and silliness to be had...

Winter Happenings

 

This week we did all the "winter things" that we try to do before Christmas. 

We went to the lights at city park....

Did a puzzle that my sister sent for the kids... so fun on a cold day!

Matthew was SO pumped to get football cards as a gift! 

And we had our first snow of the year....yay!! It didn't stay long but it was sure pretty!
