Matthew Turns 15!

 

Our Matthew turned FIFTEEN today! FIFTEEN?!?!

He has grown and changed SO much this year. He still has the biggest, most humble, most thoughful heart, still cares deeply for his faith, for his people, and football. He is now 6'2 and still growing, his voice is lower, and he is maturing daily. He is the best little brother and friend, and we love him more than words can say...even if his room is usually a disaster...HA!

Christmas Tree Hunt 2024

 

We headed out this morning to find a Christmas tree, driving out towards Canby thinking there were lots of tree farms out there. Needless to say, we were mistaken, BUT we did find the best tree at a small family farm. AND, as usual, it was a great family outing with my crew!

The "back of the truck in boots" shot wil continue as long as they allow! HA!

Ended the day with Maddox coming over and watching our first Christmas movie of the season.

Powdertuff

Southridge's annual Powdertuf game was today, and Matthew played on the freshman team. Oh my word it was so fun to watch him and his friends play! They almost beat the seniors!! Matthew played amazing and I think has a new love for this sport!

Football Season

 

Matthew's first year of high school football ended last evening. It has been a season of challenges and growth for our boy...and we are so proud of the way he has pushed thru and finished strong. He is a good leader and teammate, and his passion for football remains strong. Big changes are coming to the football program during the off season and we are hoping for a more positive experience in the year to come!

Thankful for this JV coach who poured so much into Matthew!

Daily Doubles

 Matthew just finished his first high school football "daily doubles" week!

We are so proud of him for working so hard and having such a great attitude during these two-hard-practices-a-day period. He was exhausted at the end of the week but said he felt stronger and is super excited for the season!
