Volleyball!

 

Southridge High School's first EVER boys volleyball season has come to an end...and what a season it was. Matthew and the all (but one) freshman team were mostly new to volleyball but grew so much, learned so much, worked so hard and had SO much fun together as friends and teammates. Matthew took to the sport quickly and was a dominant force on the team, and we are so proud of him! Their coach Sabah was amazing beyond words, and the boys love and respect her so much. It was a joy to watch them play, and I can't wait for next season!

Mission Trip

 

Evelyn just returned from a week long trip to central Washington with our church youth, serving in her final serve week as a student! She learned a lot, worked hard, and had fun, too. Grateful for her heart to serve and thankful for a safe and memory filled trip!

Night To Shine

 Our church hosted one of Tim Tebow's "Night to Shine" events... a "prom" like event for  people with special needs. 

Our whole family volunteered for the event. Both kids were in the band. Evelyn was lead vocals and guitar, and Matthew played the trombone. 

I can't begin to tell you how proud I am of them. Evelyn sang beautifully (surprising a lot of people who didn't know her talents...heehee) and Matthew was full of energy and had so much fun. 

It was a night to remember for sure!

Maddox told her he was working after school and for the evening. That was totally a lie and he came and surprised her with flowers and new AirPods. He's pretty great....

The "Wedding"

So... for a few years Evelyn and some youth group friends have been talking about having a wedding... where Evelyn was the bride but NO groom. She explains the concept better, but you get the idea. 

So.. this was the year of the "Wedding" themed birthday party!

My friend let Evelyn borrow her wedding dress and it fit almost perfectly... 

The "bridesmaids" Heidi, Caroline and Maddie.. beautiful girls!

Levi and Zephyr were the groomsman and got all dressed up.. it was pretty cute!

She had a huge fake diamond ring to boot...haha! They went to Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner and got lots of attention...haha! It was a super fun night!

The following weekend she had her friends from school (+Juliet) over to celebrate...
