Fourth of July Fun

Happy Birthday America! Once again we headed to our 4th of July "happy place", Enchanted Forest. After being at Disneyland in February, both Doug and I wondered if the kids wouldn't enjoy it as much. I think they are also getting older and starting to grow out of this kind of place. We ended up  still having a GREAT time and loved our time there! We ended up being there for over 4 hours..a record for us

Excited to be here!

Throwing pennies into the pond... a favorite!
Poor Humpty actually DID have a great fall just 3 days after we went last year, and broke into pieces. The owner and founder of Enchanted Forest, Roger Tofte, worked long and really DID put Humpty back together again!! :)
Into the Rabbit hole they go....
... and out they come!

This photo makes me smile!

Crooked House!

Still their favorite.. The Shoe Slide!

This silly clown offered to take a family photo for us in Western Town.. but not before taking this selfie!! I didn't find it until I got home and downloaded the pictures..haha!!
He did take a pretty good photo of us, tho!
This photo.. taken as they disembarked from the Ice Mountain ride. You can see who had more fun...haha!

When we were at Disneyland, the "Splash Mountain" ride was closed for maintenance. Although we were a bit bummed, Evelyn very maturely said that we could just do Enchanted Forest's version of Splash Mountain when we went, since we never had done it before. We all were looking forward to trying this ride out!

The kids were a bit nervous as we made our way to the big splash, but overall they LOVED it. Matthew and I sat in front and got the wettest! :)

Train fun... they barely fit in the cars anymore! Sigh...

"Four and Twenty Blackbirds"... still one of the silliest things!

Water show.. always a hit!

We wanted to see the play in the outdoor theater but had to kill some time before the show started. We thought the kids would just want to play on the Shoe Slide while we waited. Oh no.. they wanted to walk thru the park AGAIN! Here is round two... haha!

Evelyn's dress glowing in the Seven Dwarf's mine.

Evelyn and Doug racing.. I love these two photos!

At the theater waiting for the play to start. It was hot and humid.. this shot just makes me laugh!

We all really enjoyed the play and it was worth the wait!

I am not sure how many years of visiting this place we have left, but we sure enjoyed today and the kids still want to go back next year! :) Happy Fourth to you and yours!
