Seems like just yesterday this photo was taken...
Sept 9th, 2014. Matthew's 1st day of preschool.
But 8 months has past, bringing us to today....
May 21st, 2015. Matthew's LAST day of preschool!
Sending Matthew to preschool this year has been one of the best decisions Doug and I have made. It has been such an incredible year of growth for our sweet boy, in so many areas of his little life. Not only has he grown 2.5 inches (yikes!), he has come out of his shell and learned SO much. From being a good friend to counting to 100 (higher actually), and so many things in between, we are so proud of him!
One of the most things that we are most proud of is what a kind and respectful young man Matthew is in class. His teacher, Mrs Goff, had nothing but praise for our little rule follower. She said he is so thoughtful and helpful to others, and has a big heart for Jesus. We couldn't ask for more!
Mrs. Goff will always have a special place in our hearts!
As will Mrs. Mabry....
....and Mrs. Benz, the amazing and hard working assistants in the classroom. Such amazing women who loved on our boy so well!
Saying the Pledge of Allegiance as a class one last time.
He knows it by heart!
Matthew said I HAD to take a picture of his cool dragon tattoo. It was big a sparkly! :)
This girl. It has been such a treat and a blessing to get to see her three days a week and do life together with our "babies". I am gonna struggle without her next year! :(
Blurry bouncy boy in the bouncy house!
Silly!
Waiting for the magic show to start. I think this was the funnest part of the day for all the kids. The magician was really good and really funny!
Sweet Maleah (Laura's daughter, she is the one I am with in the earlier photo). I know for a fact that one of the main reasons Matthew did so well transitioning into school was because Maleah was in class with him (we know the VanderGiessens from church). Both of them leaned on each other often thru the year and at times were inseparable. These two have such a special relationship that I pray will continue to grow and last even tho they are heading to different schools next year.
After we picked up Evelyn from school we all went to celebrate with frozen yogurt!
It is surreal and a little bit crazy to think I will have a kindergartener come September. Mixed emotions fill my heart often over this fact. Thankful I have 116 days until school starts!
Yes.. I counted. :)
