They were up before 6AM wondering when we were going to leave. They were super excited to see their aunt.
Our lunch stop... gotta love Burger King crowns!
I am so thankful that my kids travel so well. It is about a 7 hour trip (with kids needing to eat, stretch and go potty) but there was only minor complaining toward the end of the trip. They love to look around and see the world around them. They almost forgot they could watch a movie! We arrived in time for dinner and were happy to see Michelle!
Swingin' in the hammock... still wearing his crown!
Our hostess with the mostest!
After dinner, the kids rode their bikes to the park (we walked) to play and get some wiggles out!
Auntie love!
The next morning we headed to the water park. We had to go get Abby from her dad's so that meant the kids got to meet Tortellini! Jim (Abby and Curtis' dad) saved him and his mate Pepperoni many year ago and nursed them back to health. Pepperoni died a few years ago but Tortellini is still goin' strong. It was fun for the kids to meet him!
It's not everyday you get to feed a turtle watermelon!
They also got to meet Pineapple (Pi for short). He was happy to see them!
AND they got to meet Pearl and Dot, Curtis and Abby's Guinea pig.. that was fun too!
Finally we made it to the aquatic center!
Such a cool place (and huge!)
My brave girl tackling the water slides!
She loved this slide!
The next slide wasn't so kind to her and flipped her over. You can tell by the look on her face that she wasn't too happy about that!
Lunchtime!
Lots of goofing off in the indoor pool too! We had a great time swimming!
We got home and relaxed by watching Frozen!
My sister makes a mean grilled dinner.. there was chicken too! Yummo!
Someone decided to pull out her tooth after dinner! That makes 6 gone in a year... yikes!
The kids even got to watch the Nascar race before bed...it was a very full and fun day for sure!
Sunday coffee with my sister, sunshine.. and cute little hedgehogs. Perfect!
We took a LOONNNGG walk along the river. I am not sure how far we walked but I think it was over 2 miles. The kids did very well.. Matthew got really cranky at the end but overall they had a fun time!
Ending at a park made it better!!
Well.. we actually ended at Dairy Queen.. which was even better!! :)
My sister ran and got a cheap baby pool for the kids to play in. It was a hit!
They love their aunt!
Cousins!
Matthew getting a lift home from the park!
Selfie! :)
There was a sprinkler going in a yard on the way home from the park. The kids and Michelle decided to run thru it to cool off... fun times!
We got up and left Monday morning, full of fun memories of our time in Lewiston. The kids can't wait to go back! :)
