Lego Chima Party

We had SO much fun celebrating Matthew with his friends today!! This was his year to have a party, and he wanted a Lego Chima party. Even tho the plan was for it to be smaller, we ended up expecting TEN 5 and 6 year olds at our house. I have to be honest, I was a bit anxious about that, but it turned out to be simple and fun and just perfect for my big six year old and his buddies.

The decorated dining room
Thank you Etsy for the customized stickers to put on the plates!
For his party, Matthew wanted to build Chima racers called Speedorz and race them with his friends. Here is all 10 of the speedorz ready to go.

Doug scrubbed and cleaned the garage and turned it into a Speedorz Arena for the boys to race their bikes. Better than in the house! :)

Ready to party!
Waiting for his friends...

The kids enjoyed building their speedorz and hanging out together!
These two...  Evelyn and her friend Ellie were so helpful with the boys and made sure they were doing okay with their legos. All without being asked. They did sneak away to Evelyn's room while the boys played in the garage.. they probably needed a break...haha!

The boys ready to race! Oh my goodness did they have fun... we just let them play however they wanted and they all had a blast!
The girls couldn't stay away for long! :)

He was so blessed by his friends who brought some awesome gifts!
He saw this silly toy in a catalog and my mom got it for him. He was SO excited!
He loves his grandma and grandpa!
I asked Mattew a while back if he wanted cake or cupcakes. He though about it for a bit then said he wanted cupcakes.. with blue frostind and a peppermint oreo on top! He was so excited to eat this simple treat!
Being sang to...
This face... gosh I love him!

These three have know each other since birth. I am so thankful for life long friends for our boy!

My introverted birthday boy was SO tired from his fun day! I think he was asleep before 7pm and slept for 12 hours! Thankful for a fun day to celebrate him and for him to see just how much he is loved!
