Beach Trip 2015 - Day 3 & 4

Saturday morning we got up early in order to head to the tidal pools at the lowest tide of the day.

Silly again....

Making the long trek down the beach...

The kids loved exploring and were more agile this year, which eased my mind quite a bit! :)

Love these three...

A cool big star fish we saw!

Navigating the deep waters on the way back..

Feeding the silly sea gulls

After lunch and a rest we headed back to the beach to play. It was pretty windy and foggy but the kids had a great time!

I hope they always care about each other the way they do now....

Another much needed nap for this guy...

And some play time too! :)

This sums up how we felt about the wind blowing sad in our faces...

Got some ocean water all by himself... he's all good! :)

After getting our fill of the beach we headed back for dinner. Another tradition.. Papa Murphy's mini-murphs!

After dinner we went for one last walk on the beach. There were clouds in the sky but the sunset was just as beautiful as ever.

Footprints...
This one..... :)

A very pretty sky for our last night.

The next morning we needed to say goodbye to the beach..

Hard to see, but this is how we found them in the morning. In the same bed with Evelyn reading to her brother. Precious.

We headed to our usual last day lunch spot, Mo's, and had a yummy meal.

What usually is a 90 minute car ride ended up being an almost FOUR hour car ride home. There was an accident and we were parked for quite some time. The kids really were good sports for the most part but there were a few moments where they thought they for sure would perish! :)

Not at their best in these  photos! :)

Once we got thru traffic and stopped at Dairy Queen for a treat, we all were in better spirits and had a nice drive the rest of the way home.

We really did have a great time and although our time at the beach was short, the memories we made will last a long time! :)
